Broadstone Productions (Broadstone Pantomime Society) are a fun and friendly amateur pantomime society dedicated to providing the best possible family experience. The original aim of the society was to put on shows involving and for the community; also to give something back by donating some of the proceeds to local good causes. That tradition has continued and many charities have benefitted over the years.
Written by David Gigg, this is a fabulous new pantomime full of fun, laughter and royal chaos! Created for Broadstone Pantomime Productions, and directed by Emma-LouiseĀ Pottinger.
Packed with laugh-out-loud comedy, familiar fairy tale characters, spectacular musical numbers and plenty of audience participation, Queens is a fresh, modern pantomime celebrating friendship, family and discovering the hero within yourself.
For years, the Kingdom has been ruled peacefully by the legendary Snow White and four fellow fairy tale Queens. Their adventures are behind them, their kingdoms are thriving, and Princess Sabrina is preparing to become the next Queen.
But when Snow White's long-banished husband, King Not So Charming, unexpectedly returns armed with a mysterious magical artefact capable of forcing anyone to obey his every command, the entire kingdom falls under his control.
With the palace staff trapped under the King's spell and the kingdom in chaos, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty must embark on one final adventure. Alongside the reluctant Princess Sabrina, they must search for an old friend, confront mistakes from the past and discover that being a true Queen isn't about fairy tales: it's about courage, compassion and finding your own path.
We will be announcing our charity for this year soon.
Our annual pantomime is produced over two weekends each January in the War Memorial Hall, Tudor Road, Broadstone BH18 8AW
